Golden Retrievers have been a special part of our family for over thirty years. We invite you to experience the special companionship known only by Retriever owners.
Origins
We welcomed our first Golden, Heidi’s Teddy Bear, in 1977. He was a gorgeous and wonderfully personable dog. Years later his passing left a palpable void in our family, and while we could never replace Teddy, it became clear that we could also not live without a Golden Retriever. It is with Teddy held close to our hearts that we welcome each new retriever into our home. We are so thankful that he came into our lives and introduced us to this soulful breed.
Current Program

Madison
Our first female, named Madison, was purchased a few years later and became our foundation bitch. She was a beautiful and graceful girl, producing several litters of stunning pups.
We learned so much from our first dogs and continue to learn with each litter. We’ve developed breeding strategies that pair dogs possessing superior qualities to produce litters of gorgeous, healthy dogs with outstanding disposition.
Socialization
Each dog leaves Gaines Farm only after competing our socialization and conformation program. Careful selection and early attention to detail are the keys to breeding a happy, healthy and well balanced personality. It is our goal to provide the best companions possible for each person or family. Our puppies stay with our family until they are 9 weeks old to ensure a great start with their mother and littermates. It is our experience that proper socialization within the litter and with our family from the start will carry through the life of the dog. Our litters are raised inside our home with our family during the time they are here.
Vaccinations
Our puppies are veterinary checked, given their first vaccinations and are wormed prior to going to their new home. We are also always available to help you with any questions or concerns throughout the life of your dog. Please feel free to contact us with any questions
